No feature matches this filter.
Price not stated means Telegram’s announcement did not say whether the feature needs Premium. We would rather say that than guess.
What does each feature actually do for you?
Five lines, one job each. Read the line that matches your problem and skip the rest.
Organise: find anything in seconds
Chat Folders
Tabs above your chat list, built from chat types (all channels, all unread) or hand-picked chats. They sync across your devices. Premium allows up to 20 folders with 200 chats each.
Saved Messages
Forward anything to yourself and it is on every device. View as Chats sorts saved items by the chat they came from. Premium adds emoji tags you can filter by. How to use Saved Messages
2 GB files, 4 GB with Premium
Any file type, no compression when you send it as a file. The real ceiling is a little under 2 GiB, which matters for big videos. Exact limits and steps
Multiple accounts
Work and personal numbers in one app, each with its own notifications. Add a second account
Privacy: decide who sees what
Secret Chats
End-to-end encrypted, tied to one device on each side, with self-destruct timers. Regular chats are encrypted between you and Telegram’s servers, which is what lets them sync.
2-Step Verification and passkeys
A cloud password stops anyone who steals your SMS code. Passkeys replace the SMS step with Face ID, a fingerprint or a PIN, and can sync through iCloud or Google.
Disable Sharing
One switch in a private chat blocks forwarding, screenshots and saving media. Premium only. Protect content in chats and channels
Aggressive anti-spam for groups
Group owners can let Telegram remove spam automatically. Anti-spam guide
Language and AI: understand every chat
Translate
Free for single messages; Premium translates a whole chat as you read; channel owners can turn on Auto-Translate for all readers.
AI Editor
Grammar fixes, seven rewrite styles and translation inside the message bar, processed on Cocoon with no access to your data according to Telegram.
AI Summaries
A recap of long channel posts and Instant View articles. Handy for news channels you follow but rarely read in full.
Time: send it when it lands best
Schedule, remind, repeat
Hold Send for Schedule Message. In Saved Messages it is a reminder. Premium can repeat it daily, weekly or monthly. Scheduling guide
Silent send
Same menu, Send Without Sound. Silent messages guide
Community: run groups and channels like a network
Communities
Linked groups, channels and bots under one topic, shown as separate chats or one expandable chat.
Welcome Messages
A private first message for every new member: rules, the best posts, where to start.
Polls 2.0
Media in questions, time limits, hidden results, suggested options. Create a poll
AI Guardians and bots
Since June 2026 admins can make AI bots admins that screen join requests and remove unwanted posts. Add a bot to a group

Channel Auto-Translate is set by the owner and needs channel boosts, not a personal subscription.
What should you set up first?
Ten minutes, seven stops. Tick each one as you go; the line fills up and your progress stays on this device.

How do these features help a new channel grow?
Communities put your channel next to the group where readers talk. Welcome Messages turn a new member into a reader in the first minute. Polls give quiet subscribers an easy first action. Auto-Translate opens the channel to readers of other languages.
What none of them fixes is the empty-room problem: people hesitate to join a channel with 40 subscribers. Some owners add a starting base so the first real visitors do not leave. If you do, be clear about what you are buying.
- Real members from $4 per 1,000 for a public channel or group. They fill seats; they will not read like fans.
- Post views from $1 per 1,000 views on your last 10 posts.
Questions about Telegram features
What are the best Telegram features in 2026?
For most people: Chat Folders, Saved Messages, scheduled messages, Secret Chats, 2-Step Verification with passkeys, free message translation and the AI Editor. For group and channel owners: Communities, Welcome Messages, Polls and AI Guardian bots.
Are Telegram chats end-to-end encrypted?
Only Secret Chats. Regular private and group chats use server-client encryption so they can sync across your devices. Secret Chats use end-to-end encryption and stay on the two devices that started them.
Which Telegram features need Premium?
Disable Sharing, repeating scheduled messages, Saved Messages tags, live translation of whole chats, checklists and the rich text editor need Premium. It also raises limits: 4 GB files, a fourth account and up to 20 folders. Most other features are free.
What is new in Telegram in 2026?
AI Summaries (January), Disable Sharing (March), the AI Editor and Polls 2.0 (March), AI Guardians for groups and watch apps (June), Communities and a rich text editor (July), and Welcome Messages for groups and channels (August).
How many accounts can you use in one Telegram app?
Free users can add up to three accounts; Telegram Premium lets you add a fourth. You switch between them without logging out.
What is the file size limit on Telegram?
2 GB per file, or 4 GB with Telegram Premium. There is no limit on how many files you send, and everyone can download the larger files.
Is People Nearby still a Telegram feature?
No. Telegram removed People Nearby on 6 September 2024. Use QR codes, usernames and Global Search to find people and local groups instead.
What are Telegram Communities?
A Community links several groups, channels and bots around one topic. Admins choose whether each chat is visible to all members, and members can add or suggest chats. Telegram introduced them on 14 July 2026.
Where to next on the network?
