How do you turn off voice calls on Telegram?
Open Settings › Privacy and Security › Calls (called Voice Calls on iPhone) and set Who can call me to Nobody. The rule is saved to your Telegram account, so it works on every device and covers video calls too. To keep a few people able to call, add them to Always Allow. To silence only one laptop or tablet, switch off Accept Calls for that device instead.

What exactly do you want to stop?
“Turn off calls” means six different things. Pick yours and the desk hands you the one setting that does it, plus what else changes.
Who can call me: Nobody
Path: Settings › Privacy and Security › Calls (Voice Calls on iPhone).
Also changes: nothing else. Messages, groups and channels work as before. Leave Always Allow empty for total quiet.
Who can call me: My Contacts
Path: Settings › Privacy and Security › Calls.
Also changes: people you have saved can still call. Anyone else sees that you don’t accept calls. Add a client or colleague you haven’t saved to Always Allow.
Never Allow, or block them
Path: Calls › Never Allow › add the person. This list is offered when your rule is Everybody or My Contacts.
Also changes: nothing for Never Allow. Blocking stops their messages and calls together. See the block list guide.
Accept Calls: off on that device
Path on the laptop: Settings › Speakers and Camera › Accept calls on this device. From your phone: Settings › Devices › tap the laptop › Accept Calls.
Also changes: only that device stops ringing. Your phone still rings and the account rule stays the same.
iOS Call Integration: off
Path: Settings › Privacy and Security › Voice Calls › iOS Call Integration.
Also changes: Telegram calls stop appearing on the lock screen like phone calls and leave the iPhone call history. People can still call you.
Voice Messages privacy (Premium)
Path: Settings › Privacy and Security › Voice Messages.
Also changes: it limits who can send you voice and round video messages. Only Telegram Premium subscribers can restrict it. Calls are a separate, free rule.
How do I turn off Telegram calls on Android, iPhone and Desktop?
Same rule, three slightly different corridors. Pick your app and walk past the doors in order.

You only need to do this once. Privacy rules live in your Telegram account, not in the app, so changing it on one device changes it everywhere you are logged in.
How do the Always Allow and Never Allow lists work?
The two exception lists are not both shown all the time. Which one you get depends on your main rule, and that decides what you can build.
My Contacts shows both lists: allow a client you haven’t saved, and keep out one contact.
Four recipes

The lists are matched by person. “These users will or will not be able to call you regardless of the settings above,” as the app puts it.
What does someone see when you’ve turned off calls?
Look through the peephole: the caller gets a short notice, you get nothing at all.

On your side: silence
The call is refused by Telegram before it reaches you, so there is no ring and nothing to answer. Telegram also does not notify anyone when you change the setting.
What it reveals. The caller learns that you don’t accept calls from them, not which rule you picked or whether others can call.
Group calls too. Since April 2025 people can ring contacts into a group call. Those invites are checked against the same rule.
Telegram nudges you. On Android, if you restrict who can message you but leave calls open, it asks: “You’ve restricted who can message you, but anyone can still call you.”
How do I stop just one device from ringing?
There are two layers. The account rule decides who can call. A switch on each logged-in device decides where it rings.
Rings on: Phone, Laptop, Tablet
Keep it on for the phone you carry. Each switch only changes that one device, so a quiet laptop never stops your phone from ringing.
Why do Telegram calls show up in my iPhone call history?
Because of a switch called iOS Call Integration. It makes Telegram calls behave like phone calls, with a side effect most people never notice.

Turning it off does not stop anyone calling you. It only keeps Telegram calls inside Telegram. Your Telegram call list still lives in the app.
Is turning off calls the same as blocking voice messages?
No. People often mix up three separate tools. Here they are as three keys, each opening a different door.
Calls rule
Voice and video calls, including group call invites. Everybody, My Contacts or Nobody, with exceptions. The person can still message you.

Voice Messages rule
Voice notes and round video messages, not calls. Only Premium subscribers can restrict it.

Does turning off calls on Telegram also stop video calls?
Yes. There is one Calls rule for voice and video calls. Once someone can’t call you, they can’t start a video call either, and they can’t ring you into a group call.
Will the person know I turned off calls?
Only when they try to call. They see “Sorry, [your name] doesn’t accept calls.” Telegram does not send any notice when you change the setting, and it doesn’t tell them which option you chose.
Can my contacts still call me if I choose Nobody?
No. Nobody means nobody, contacts included, unless you add them to Always Allow. Choose My Contacts if you only want to stop strangers.
Do I need Telegram Premium to turn off calls?
No. The Calls rule is free for every account. Premium is only needed to restrict who can send you voice messages.
Can I turn off Telegram calls on my computer only?
Yes. In Telegram Desktop open Settings › Speakers and Camera and switch off Accept calls on this device. Your phone keeps ringing.
Can someone I blocked still call me on Telegram?
No. Blocking stops a person from messaging and calling you, whatever your Calls rule says.
Why did my phone still ring after I chose Nobody?
Check four things: the caller is on your Always Allow list, the change was not saved (on Android you must tap the check mark), the ring came from a regular phone call or another app, or you changed the setting on a different Telegram account.
Does turning off calls hide my IP address?
Only indirectly: no call means no connection. If you do take calls, the peer-to-peer setting on the same screen controls whether the other side can see your IP address.
